Contrary to popular belief, raw fowl bones (turkey, chicken, etc) are perfectly fine for your dogs to eat.  Only cooked bones have the potential to splinter and cause issues.

Grissom & Annie (raw fed Corgi and Boxer)

boxerpaws | February 6th, 2010

My Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Grissom, was only one year old when his vet told me carbohydrates in his “high quality” commercial food were going to kill him. That was when I put him on a PMR diet, and he is doing better than ever. Mealtime is his favorite time of the day, and he thrives. PMR solved all of his issues… well, except the no legs part. :-)

After seeing such an incredible turn around with my Corgi going from kibble to raw, I knew bringing home my Boxer puppy that it was the only way to go. Boxers are incredibly prone to allergies and have very sensitive digestive systems, but on a prey model raw diet, my Annie thrives.

Akasha and the fish (raw fed Great Dane)

Jon | February 5th, 2010

This was our first raw fish meal. As you can see only 1 was really interested. The 2 Great Danes eat fish every morning now though (whole tilapia)

Some dogs just don’t like fish.  Don’t force it on them.  If you can’t talk them into eating whole raw fish you can usually add fish to their diet by feeding canned Mackerel, Salmon, etc.  Even canned sardines make a great treat from time to time.

We also give our girls fish oil capsules every night or two.  That’s the ONLY supplement we give
