Anyone ever have a problem with elevated RBC levels? We're about 10 months into raw feeding. My male was sick last week and as a diagnostic the vet did blood work. My boy has been feeling fine and back to his regular self. Vet thinks it's either from the raw diet or polycythemia (very rare). She wants me to feed less red meat and more veg ( she also thinks my dogs are omnivores).

There is something that is lower in raw fed dogs, and its normal to be that way but I can't remember what it is.

I would not feed less ref meats, and I personally don't ever feed anything plant based. Vets really have such little knowledge on k9 nutrition.
