Has anybody gotten older chicks from a farm store and fed to their cats? They have chicks there today that weigh somewhere in the 1 pound range and are only $1. They are probably about 3 week old chicks. I thought since they are whole prey it may be worth getting some and putting them in the freezer for my cats.

I haven't, but it may be a good idea. Check on any vaccines they may have had before shipping though first. I'm not sure if that could be an issue or not.

Also ask about any antibiotics and medicated feeds they are given. I'm not sure how long all those things stay in their systems for.
